Impressionism Color Recipe Book
Ok here's a trick, the impressionists who dabbled in a sortof pointalism and light and highlight color study, yknow the big guys monet etc, have produced what is in essence a cook book for good color mixing. They are deconstructionalists of sorts. They don't mix their paint, they juxtapose color ingredients to create that color's highlighted effect when viewed at a distance or through blurred eyes. So if you are learning to paint and want to know how to make any color you can just take a closer look at these for a while. Or mimic their tendency toward color studies which is to repaint the same subject in a variety of lightings.
Good Times
